Ford Motor has added a new pickup truck to its 2018 lineup that is pushing the boundaries on luxury zone. The 2018 F-450 Super Duty Limited 4X4 which, when fully decked out with all of its top-of-the-line options, will set you back nearly $100,000.
The new Ford F-450 truck comes with leather seats, premium leather-wrapped steering wheel and instrument panel as well as a suede headliner and dark ash wood trim. A twin-bar grille has chrome accents.
Under the hood is Ford’s 6.7-litre, V8, power stroke, diesel engine for all the variants and has a 6-Speed automatic transmission.
A 360-degree camera with trailer reverse assistance will help drivers maneuver the rig, and because pickup trucks are designed to pull, the blind spot monitoring offers trailer coverage as well.
Ford isn’t just making a bet on luxury pickup trucks. More than 50% of retail sales of Ford’s “Super Duty” lineup in 2017 were high-end models such as the Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum series.
In this terms it look fair to attack this zone and push boundaries for a luxury edition. It’s a mix of utility and luxury that you don’t often see, and that’s reflected in its price tag.
The Ford F-450 Limited 4×4 cost is $100,000 for customers who check every option box.
Ford’s Super Duty line of trucks, including the F-250, F-350 and F-450, are big heavy-duty work trucks designed for serious towing and hauling.
They compete against trucks like the Fiat Chrysler’s Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks and General Motors’ Chevrolet Silverado HD.
The new F-450 Super Duty Limited will arrive at Ford dealerships this winter.
